First month in Paradise

It has been already a month here, time is running too fast, I have met so many people and discover so many places. Like most of tourists, I spent the first days in Kuta area, a crowded place with nothing interestind to see, except for hang out. So many hotels, so many bars, so many discotheques grows like mushrooms since last time I was there.

I rent a motorbike and riding around Seminyak, a trendy place 10 years ago and now became like Kuta. Many foreigners chose this location for living, bought a house and they have everything around, restaurants, shops and beaches. Canggu at North is more peacefull and became ‘the place to live’ in Bali. There are many   villas for rent  and I will probably drop my bag in this area in the coming weeks.

After 3 or 4 days tired by the tourist crowd, I joined the Peninsula in South. Jimbaran is still a lovely place, and I spent a couple of days over Impossible Beach, near Uluwatu Temple. This is beautiful rocky beach and worldwide known for the great waves it offer. I rent a bungalow and spent the days on water, like in my best dreams… I will try to come back here at least one time a month, it’s a so fantastic place.

I ride then around the Peninsula, from Pecatu, to Nusa Dua. Again so many resorts growed in the area. I stopped in a hotel where I stayed 10 years ago, and said hello to old friends, it was so great to see her again… Then, I followed the East coast, from Sanur to Amed, a lovely ride by motorbike with so many beautiful views. I’m now in Ubud since 2 weeks, again a lovely and peacefull place. There are so many things to say about this area, I will need another post. For now I’m looking for a villa for rent, I should find it on See you soon.

Coming soon

It was a moment that I did not return to Bali, many things have changed since 2004, but not the unique feeling of weel-being in harmony with nature and people.

I had recently a good opportunity to come back to the island of Gods and I could not miss it. I’m back now and I plan this time to stay a long time.

In this website, my Bali Journal, I plan to relate my journey here, tell about places, people and my personal experience… see you soon.
